Art, art, and more art

This is my latest oil painting. It's from Brigham City, west of town. It is hanging in Jim and Shauntaes dining room. They were nice enough to take down the one I had given them before. (It just wasn't quite right.) Oh, well. I'm glad they liked this one!!! I'm working on a real different one now. It's a still life of antique bottles, with a candle lit behind them. It's pretty dark, since there are no lights on, except the candle. I hope it turns out the way I think it can! I'll post it if it does. I'm loving the class and the people in it. I have learned alot since we started!

... Try this, it's fun. See how many you can get before the time runs out! Let me know how you do, I bet it will be sooo much better than me. I only got 40. I need to study the language a little better! (my score after the second try!!)
Thanks Kim!

Exchange Students

We invited the exchange students from Japan and Korea to come and spend some time at the ranch last Saturday. I will never forget the look on their faces when we brought out the horses and four wheelers!
Lynn and Patty Green and their kids brought their horses up and Kari had her horse, so we had a lot of rides going at the same time! Those kids were sooo excited to get to ride them! We had students from Bear River, Honeyville and Perry show up.
We had a pot-luck lunch for them and the extra activities that we had planned. Cindy Reed brought up a game and some giant bubbles that were really fun for them..(Her youngest daughter fell in the bubble water TWICE!) It was very fun and quite a learning experience. It's great to meet with other cultures and share some of ours. I would bet that they might really wonder what life in Utah and Idaho is REALLY like now!
