Newest Watercolor- Sunset Romp

This is my latest watercolor. It is supposed to be of my neighbors dog. I borrowed the photo, with permission, from Austin. I liked how the sun was shining on the canal bank and dog. I will probably tweek it here or there, but I think it's pretty close. Let me know what you think can be changed to make it better!

Ariana's painting!

I just got finished with this painting that I did for a good friend and almost relative! It took me longer than I thought it would, but I finally got it to the place where it looks good to me. I am hoping that it is what she wanted. I chose from three photo's that she sent me. It was fun and I learned alot from doing it, which is a plus! I can never get the photo of the painting to look the same, so you will have to use your imagination! Hope you like it!!!

Kari's Temple and MTC days

More photos! Temple day and MTC!

Grandpa Chester and Kari... We are so glad he got to spend the day with us!

MTC

We had such a beautiful day- I'm so happy that she has decided to do this! What a blessing for us all. Thank you, everyone! If we hadn't had all the help in teaching and raising her, this would never have happened. I know that she loves all of you that have had anything to do with preparing her for this step in her life. She will have an experience that will be both wonderful and hard. We love you Kari! Good luck!

Farewell... Kari!

Well, the time is drawing near, just two more days and Kari will leave for her mission. It has gone so fast, I know the next 18 months will too! I am glad that her talk at church went well. Everyone commented on how her personality came out during it! She did do a good job. There were so many people who came and supported her for the day. So many people to thank, and I only got a few written down that brought food to feed the crowd! I don't know how many came to dinner, alot of them had to leave and go to other things. It was awesome to see how many people have meant so much in her life. I don't know how many of her friends will read this, but THANK YOU for coming all that way to see her! I will never be able to tell my family thank you enough for all their help, either. Everyone just pitches in and helps where needed and I would never have made it without their help! I was sooo tired after we were done, everyone just cleaned up and got things home, then cleaned up there too. I was so happy that they would all help me that way! Now, we just need to finish up on the final preparations for her MTC time. We were going to go today, but it is snowing like crazy and she woke up sick. (I hope she feels better when she gets to the MTC, that will be rough if she doesn't) I just have to say, the photos are in Gina's camera for the temple day, and only two or three from yesterday were taken, so we didn't record very well. Hopefully I will get some good ones from the MTC.
I know that Wednesday will be rough, but it is a good thing for her to do. It will be one more goal accomplished in her life. She will grow and learn and change, but when she gets home, she will still be my baby and I hope she will be able to adjust to us again!
She is an example to follow for the next generation. The first girl on the Meadows and Christensen side to go. Maybe she can start the tradition and someone else in the family can carry it on! I hope that the people in the Dallas area will see how special she is and treat her and the other missionaries in a good way. I also hope that she will learn to love the people and the area well. That is what a good missionary feels toward their service.... LOVE. Dallas ,Texas-here she comes!
