Changes have been made....

The Brigham City North Stake Priest group held camp at our ranch this year. They made improvements to an area, and I think they are wonderful! They had rain the whole week, so I don't think they had any fun there, but now it is beautiful and I want to show everyone the neat ampitheatre we have now, in case anyone needs something like this!

I feel bad that they had to be there in the mud and rain, they didn't really get to see and experience it like it should be. I understand that it wasn't all that bad, but I know what it is like when it is rainy and wet. Not fun!

Thanks to all the people who took the time to prepare the area for the boys. I bet it will be used many more times!

Newest Paintings

I just got back from taking my entries to the Summerfest contest. We had two days to get done what we could. I cannot believe the awesome work that was there. It will be judged today, awards tonight. Mine is certainly not the best, but not the worst, either. The paintings will then be displayed at the Tabernacle Park until Saturday. This is the first time I dared to put a price on mine, I didn't want to be the only one without it. If you want to see some wonderful paintings, it will be worth the drive to Logan to see them. ( Not mine, the other ones, that sounded bad, didn't it?) Anyway, I learn more each time I do one of these, and just seeing the other artists work is worth it to me. There are so many styles and ideas out there. It is refreshing to see how others put it to canvas.

The other painting, of the Fort and Trees was my entry for the Ogden Art Festival. It didn't get anything, but I tried new things on it that I hadn't tried before. I would do it differently if I had the chance. It was fun, but rainy there, too. I am just glad that I had the opportunity to try and that I have the ability to go out and paint. I wouldn't get to without help from the family and Curtis. The photo's aren't too good, but it's the best I could get.

Clean Shaven

This is my husband without his beard! There are some of my children that haven't ever seen him without one! He just decided to have it shaved off one day. You would not believe the comments that he has gotten over it. I still have to look twice to make sure it is him. I saw him coming down the road on the tractor, I recognized the tractor, but had to look twice to make sure it was him driving it! He looks younger now, I think it is going to take me a while to get used to his face without the hair!
